Near Myths #3.

And with that, this blog is concluded. Thanks for all the likes and the reblogs!

Why this good-bye? Not enough time to run this and my other blog, and not enough passion for comics. Also: An unwillingness to smash my books into my scanner which — along with my recent lack of collecting — limits the amount and quality of material that I can post here.

Ouch. Barry Allen’s secret crime-fighting identity is interfering with his civilian crime-fighting identity; the Flash is inadvertently hindering crime-solving. That’s what we call irony, Alanis Morissette.

Could the cut of her panties be any higher? And why the hell don’t her thigh-high boots have knees? When designing a costume every comic book artist needs to think, “How would this look/function as a costume in a $100 million movie? Could a real person actually wear this and not look like the cosplayers at conventions? Would it be possible for the actor to do the fighting and other stunts that are necessary for their character?”

Grant Morrison Wonder Woman’s a-comin’!

glunders:

GOD YES.

“…hopefully the Wonder Woman series will be out next year sometime or thereabouts… it took a lot of reading. This has been the hardest project I’ve ever done.”

It’s clear from Supergods and other interviews that Grant Morrison is completely fascinated by Wonder Woman and her roots and… This is going to be amazing.

He was hosting an event at Meltdown and was rad enough to take some time out to sign Jaron’s TT and Red Hood while chatting with us. We got to talking, of course, about the big issue of Red Hood and the Outlaws.

So to clear a couple things up, I asked if Starfire was being serious or sarcastic about not remembering the Titans:

Kory was definitely being evasive/sarcastic because she did NOT want to talk about her past with them and issues that will come up later in the series. She does not have a memory of ‘a goldfish’ as some people have been saying ‘round the ‘net.

Also, Jason was lying to Roy about certain implications he made in the first issue to Roy about Kory. I won’t say what exactly because I don’t want to spoil the next issue, especially since it’s not out yet.

So I Had A Small Chat With Scott Lobdell Tonight.

I TOLD YOU she wasn’t some slut who was too whorish to remember her sexual conquests. I was wrong about it being amnesia that was being misinterpreted by Jason Todd, but I was right about readers misreading and mischaracterizing what was going on. — Ryking

What if Grant Morrison was so depressed this one time that he started writing about us?

There’s an old adage that says “victory is in the preparation.” For Batman, that’s not enough… victory is in over-preparation. It’s true that he trusts (almost) nobody but I guess when you’re prepared for every scenario, you cover a lot of weaknesses. Always be over-prepared.

(from Batman: R.I.P, I forget which issue)

Inconceivable!
