Grant Morrison

Happy 52nd Birthday to the man I look up to most; Grant Morrison!

I’d love to make a new graphic in his honor, but atm I’ve got to run off to class, so you’ll have to appreciate the one I made last year again.

Near Myths #3.

And with that, this blog is concluded. Thanks for all the likes and the reblogs!

Why this good-bye? Not enough time to run this and my other blog, and not enough passion for comics. Also: An unwillingness to smash my books into my scanner which — along with my recent lack of collecting — limits the amount and quality of material that I can post here.

Grant Morrison Wonder Woman’s a-comin’!

glunders:

GOD YES.

“…hopefully the Wonder Woman series will be out next year sometime or thereabouts… it took a lot of reading. This has been the hardest project I’ve ever done.”

It’s clear from Supergods and other interviews that Grant Morrison is completely fascinated by Wonder Woman and her roots and… This is going to be amazing.

Animal Man #19

What if Grant Morrison was so depressed this one time that he started writing about us?

There’s an old adage that says “victory is in the preparation.” For Batman, that’s not enough… victory is in over-preparation. It’s true that he trusts (almost) nobody but I guess when you’re prepared for every scenario, you cover a lot of weaknesses. Always be over-prepared.

(from Batman: R.I.P, I forget which issue)

Inconceivable!

CITIZENS OF METROPOLIS DEFEND THEIR HERO ➡ Birthright ♦ Action Comics #1

I like that Morrison is incorporating previous Superman material the way he incorporated previous Batman material when writing “Batman.” It shows a good eye for research and respect for fans who are partial to some of the old school stuff (although the previous two Superman origins, “Birthright” and “Origin,” aren’t really that old). — Ryking
